| What they
say about the VC.......... |
| Here are
just of few of the many comments from past students and
their families. |
| “As
a family we feel that because of the Virtual College
Ryan has developed into a very confident young man, you
encouraged him to make decisions, to travel, to
question, to join in , to feel at ease with new
situations. We now see a self assured young man who is
ready to take those first steps into the adult
world." |
| " I
am so pleased with everything that Emma has achieved
during her time with the Virtual College; this is
because of her hard work and also because of the support
and help she received from the tutors." |
| "I
was offered the many opportunities at the Virtual
College ...my outlook on life and especially my self,
family and people has improved superbly (and is now
positive) I have met some really nice people and the way
of learning really suited me at VC. I feel ready to
leave and go onto even more challenging situations where
hopefully I'll learn as much as I have at the VC!"

| " I
just want to say thank you since the college. I have got
a job. I am an office junior working for a small office
in Bournville. It was tough at first but I'm used to it
now. ....Just received my silver [ASDAN] award and I
always look back at my work. Can't believe how much you
got me to do. It was such a great experience."

| "
We owe you all a great deal for what you done for Jason,
pop in anytime you'll always be made
welcome..............." |
| "The
tutors in the Virtual College don't realise how much you
do for all the students, you know you help them but
don't realise how much impact and how much you all do to
turn their lives around. He would not be where he is now
without the Virtual College" |
|
"...a
quick update on my first week at Bournville College.
It's the end of the first week and I have actually
enjoyed it.......Thank you all again for what you have
done for me over the last couple of years. I would never
have got through this week without you all." Jason

You
helped me get my first job which was a huge confidence
boost. Now if I feel down I always flick through my
folders or look at a reference from the Virtual College
and realised how much I gained not only in education, but
self belief as well.

I'm a former student of the virtual-college and since leaving have completed a number of qualifications and after completing a pathways course last year,
I'm now doing an access to teacher training course at Matthew
Bolton college. I am aiming to go to university next year or in the future and...
....really must say the decision for this is based on the amazing teachers I had at the virtual-college from around 4 or 5 years ago when I was 15. I would hope you could help me in telling me what kinds of qualifications your teaching staff have.
I am considering doing an English degree, followed by a PGCE, but hope to work in a similar role as your teaching staff, so this would be very helpful in making my decision.
I hope your organisation gets stronger and stronger and continues to help the young people you work with. and I'm chuffed to see my statement on your website from all that time ago.
